Trotsky drove west from Bremen, Germany, to London, England, to meet the rest of the T4 rhythm section (Spike T. Smith, Jay Bentley, Tony Barber), and producer, Shannon Saint Ryan, at ‘Southern Studios’. Trotsky played drums on ‘Protest’, ’15 Minutes’, ‘Interrogation’, ‘Back Alley’, and ‘Resolution’. The ‘Southern’ sessions were engineered by Harvey Birrell.

Spike T. Smith: Drums (Morrissey / The Damned / Conflict)

Spike drove south from Peterborough, England to hammer-out the drums on ‘Introduction’, ‘Underground’, ‘Jumped’, ‘The Plot to Avenge’, and ‘Break In’, recording with the rest of the T4 rhythm section (Trotsky, Jay Bentley, Tony Barber), and producer, Shannon Saint Ryan, at ‘Southern Studios’ in London, England. The ‘Southern’ sessions were engineered by Harvey Birrell. Spike later added hi-hats to the beginning of ‘Underground’ at ‘Satellite Studios’ in Ventura, California, while in the U.S. visiting ‘The 86 House’. Armand Tambouris engineered the ‘Satellite’ session.

Jay Bentley: Bass (Bad Religion)

Jay started his journey in Vancouver, Canada, flying south to Long Beach, California, to attend his drummer’s wedding. From there he left LAX with Shannon Saint Ryan and headed east across the Atlantic to join the rest of the T4 rhythm section (Trotsky, Spike T. Smith, Tony Barber) at ‘Southern Studios’ in London, England. Jay played bass on ‘Introduction’, ‘Underground’, ‘Interrogation’, ‘Back Alley’, and ‘Resolution’. The ‘Southern’ sessions were engineered by Harvey Birrell.

SSR recorded all ten guitar tracks (clean & direct) in his bedroom in the middle of the night without using an amplifier. He then took the finished guitar tracks to ‘Satellite Studios’ in Ventura, California, and asked engineer Armand Tambouris to run the pre-recorded feed through different amp set-ups so he could pick the sound that works best.
